CUAES manages approximately 40 square miles of fields, forests, farms and facilities.
We support dozens of research projects that help solve real-world problems, from improving agricultural crops resistance to pests, to addressing world hunger.
Without the dedication and hard work of the staff, Cornell would not have the reputation of being a world leader in research that not only improves knowledge, but improves the lives of everyday people.
We want to recognize your contribution.
If you have a colleague or employee who has shown unusual dedication, insight, teamwork, or provides an example of excellence in the field, please nominate them for our “employee of the quarter” award.
A selection committee will choose among the nominations. We will profile winners on our website each quarter so we can all learn a little bit more about what we do as individuals that adds to the whole.
If you would like to nominate an outstanding CUAES staff member, please send us the name, position, and a brief explanation.
At CUAES, one of our top priorities is to build a 'Culture of Sustainability.'
Too often there is talk about sustainability, but little action. We are committed to creating a sustainable environment at all levels of operations– from machines to humans to plants -- that maximizes the potential for production, while minimizing the wear and tear on the planet and resources (including human.) Changing a culture takes time. We must all begin to think about sustainability in terms of what we can do, individually and collectively. We welcome your suggestions. In fact, we can’t do this without you. Please submit any ideas, large and small. Your voice matters and you will be recognized for your contribution.
