Welcome to Dilmun Hill. We are a student-run farm that has been practicing sustainable agriculture on Cornell University's campus for more than a decade. Our mission is to provide students, faculty, staff and community with opportunities for experiential learning, group collaboration and research. Throughout the year we host work parties where volunteers work in the fields and experience the latest in sustainable ag practices. The student managers and steering committee members collaborate with the Organic Coordinator and Faculty Advisor to provide leadership in farm operations and disseminate information through education and outreach. We also collaborate with various organizations on campus, such as McDaniels Nut Grove (MNG). Our popular campus farm stand offers Dilmun Hill produce for sale from June through October and we supply local produce to Cornell Dining and Manndible Cafe in season.

The 2012 Farm Report is here! It features the year at Dilmun Hill, and highlights the market garden operations in detail. If you are wondering where all of our vegetables get eaten, if you are curious about how the managers engage in an amazing learning experience, or if you want to hear how much we love our volunteers, you'll find it inside. Enjoy!

We are looking for students who are interested in conducting research at the Dilmun Hill Student Farm. The farm is offering land availability and research idea support to interested student researchers. If interested, please submit your research proposal application (docx) to Betsy Leonard by March 15, 2013.
Interested in getting involved even more?
Consider joining the Dilmun Hill Steering Committee.

The Steering Committee, a small working group of dedicated Dilmun Hill undergrads and Organic Farm Coordinator Betsy Leonard, facilitates governance. This committee formed in Spring 2008 due to expressed need for greater transparency and coordination of the site. The work of the committee enhances the work of the Student Club at Dilmun, and also manages logistical and administrative needs implicit in running a farm, coordinating a variety of volunteers and collaborating with Cornell administration and departments. Membership on the committee is open every semester to undergrads, and one graduate or a non-student/community member position since they also comprise an active element at Dilmun. The Student/Faculty/Staff Advisory Board, comprised of four faculty/staff members and four Steering Committee alumni, facilitates policy making for Dilmun Hill.
From spring to late fall, on the Ithaca campus.

Thank you to all of your loyal customers, who bought fresh, organic produce at our weekly farm stand throughout the growing season. Next spring student farmers from Dilmun Hill will be back on campus with picked-that-morning vegetables, blueberries, mushrooms, pottet plants and more.
