The CUAES currently oversees a $7.2 million project portfolio, in cooperation with Cornell Cooperative Extension and the New York Agricultural Experiment Station. The chief source of station funding is a yearly allocation made on a formula basis by the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) of the United States Department of Agriculture as part of the land-grant system.
This funding comes to CUAES in four categories and is distributed according to specific policies. The five funding programs are Hatch, Multistate (MRF), McIntire-Stennis, Animal Health and Smith Lever.
To be able to apply for any funding managed by the CUAES, you have to be part of the Cornell Community.
